The team’s setup

This role offers an opportunity to work on critical application security efforts, collaborate across teams, and drive the implementation of state-of-the-art authentication and authorization solutions in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. 

By joining Team Sudo, you'll contribute to fortifying our platform's security while enabling innovation and maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and access control.

You will also become part of the driving force behind seamless integrations that elevate our product and enrich our customers' experience. We're seeking talented individuals to help develop and maintain multi-tenant integrations that unlock the full potential of our platform.
We have members in Tallinn and Tartu, Estonia.
We work in the Eastern European time zone (EET/EEST).

The work

As a full-stack or back-end developer, you’ll be responsible for creating Elixir microservices, backed by Postgres and NoSQL stores, like Redis and S3. All of our services run on Kubernetes, in Docker containers.

Programming languages - we are a Ruby & Elixir shop to a large degree, but we welcome engineers with all backgrounds 

Since all our product teams are self-reliant, at some point you will work on some features that require front-end work as well. The exact amount will vary depending on the projects your team undertakes. That said, prior front-end experience is not required for this position and you can learn on the job.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience: 2-4 years of professional software development experience
  • Programming Languages: Experience in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, Go, Ruby, or Node.Js
  • Web Technologies: Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web frameworks
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud services like AWS
  • Security: Basic understanding of web security principles
  • Communication: Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development
  • Database Systems: Knowledge of Postgres and/or DynamoDB databases 

Other candidate requirements

  • Experience building reliable and high-performing systems
  • Results-oriented with a high attention to detail and quality
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Self-starter with the energy, drive and determination to accomplish goals
  • Strong code quality and experience with automated testing standards

It would be great if you had prior experience with event-driven architecture as we are taking on this journey together with you.
