Business Development Representative

At Glia, our Enterprise Development Representatives are pivotal to our company’s success.  You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing BDR team.  Specifically, you will communicate with potential clients via phone, emails, and Linkedin to develop an interest in Glia’s unified interaction management platform. 

 

We are seeking a results-oriented, motivated hunter who is laser-focused on building sales pipeline with financial institutions in the United States. You will be responsible for cold-calling prospects and educating the market about Glia and generating meetings and opportunities with net-new customers within our Enterprise segment.  You will become an expert at using lead generation tools to routinely extract contacts and craft accurate and targeted lists of prospects. You also conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using Salesloft Cadence to connect with new prospects.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert at using lead generation tools such as SalesLoft, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator and others to create accurate targeted lists of prospects
  • Conform to best practices for sales development/business development with regards to telephone calls, LinkedIn, e-mails, and conferencing calls with new prospects
  • Follow up on marketing qualified leads
  • Ask targeted, intelligent questions to speak knowledgeably with C-suite and VP-level executives
  • Coordinate meetings with sales executives and dutifully log all activities in our Salesforce CRM
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly goals of new opportunity creation and closed-won bookings from pipeline passed to sales


Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Sales Development Representative or Business Development Representative a plus
  • Experience working in Banking, Insurance, Fintech, or other Financial Services a plus
  • A fundamental understanding of the lead generation process: marketing through prospecting, cold calling, generating interest and handing off to sales a plus
  • Experience in high-growth software startups a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience working successfully in fast-paced, results-focused business environments influencing major decision-making processes
  • Strong ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of potential clients
  • Ability to build solid relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists by fostering teamwork, partnership and collaboration in a virtual and face-to-face environment
  • Driven, self-motivated and positive personality with a passion for sales and bringing human connection to the digital space
  • Demonstrated history of high achievement in previous roles
  • Ability to learn quickly and execute ideas, while working towards ambitious sales targets and expectations
  • You constantly persevere, find ways to overachieve, and keep improving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in professional English
  • Interest and passion for Enterprise B2B software sales
